Facebook

So this guy asks to be my friend on Facebook. I check out his profile. Seems to be a religious good type of guy.  So I say "okay". He posts on his page, for a small investment one can get a good profit in return. He posts "300 cans bring a return of 6700. I think well that is a no brainer, who would not do that? So, I give him $300. Worth the risk, is what I was thinking. He shows me on a web page that I have made $7000. But of course there are issues. $1500 to activate the account. Still intrigued, I pay it. I tell him okay, send me the profit. He tells me "the IRS insists you pay the tax on the money up front. I am a little pissed but I listen. "He says the tax is $1440. 20%. Well by now, I am truly invested. I pay the $1440. Okay now send me the profit. He gives me the number to a person in the United Kingdom named Sara. Sara works in the finance department, tracks and logs transactions. I am to send her my account information to send the money to. She will...

The hard way

Any time I want to learn something, I just jump in with both feet. Prepared to fail until I understand how something works.  This project is no different. Understanding what miners do. They own powerful computer networks that mine coins using math equations. If they solve the equations first, they earn a block of bitcoins.  The other thing they do is verify transactions on the blockchain. Each transaction is recorded in a ledger. Another thing they do that is not common knowledge, they work the network like a forex, and make good money doing it. Now in this case, which is not my nature, I don't want to learn the trading skill, I just want to profit from it. I learned, one can invest money with them and earn a good profit with each investment.  But you need a little working capital to survive the process. You also have to be okay with the risk of losing your money. I wil...

The Beginning

Just about everywhere we go today, someone is discussing cryptocurrency. I decided to begin the process of learning how this new form of money works.   I started in google of course, searching for the definition. My very basic definition is an alternate way to earn income, save that income or use it for goods or services.  Next I learned there are hundreds of crypto currencies, each ranked by there net worth. Bitcoin being number one. One bitcoin today is worth $57,287. Number two is Ethereum, worth $4,183 today. I noticed the price moves quite a bit each day. This changes with the economy but brings with it an opportunity similar to Forex Trading.some investors playing the market similar to Forex. They learn the signals and quickly play the up and down turns for quick profit. Larger investors just buy and hold Bitcoin for a long term bigger profit. For example if you held Bitcoin for a year, your profit would have been 1400% this year. Not bad for my first week. I will ...
